The Illinois Agri-Food Alliance (ILAFA) is an independent, multi-stakeholder initiative working to harness the strength of Illinois’ food and agriculture sector to grow the economy, improve societal health and equity, sustain the environment, and enhance resiliency.
As a neutral third-party convener, ILAFA connects diverse cross-sector partners around tipping points of commonality that are too complex to solve independently. Through its collaborative network platform, ILAFA partners spanning government, NGOs, academia, and industry are joining forces to align strategic priorities, spark innovation, improve coordination, catalyze new collaborations, increase visibility, and build trust. By removing traditional barriers to collaboration and providing a supporting systems-oriented framework, an enabling environment is created to shift mindsets, redefine models, and generate new value to enhance the future of Illinois’ agri-food system.
